Ex-boss sentenced to life imprisonment?

I was just looking for some insight on a dream I had last night.

At my old workplace, my ex-boss and some of my old colleagues were sentenced to a life sentence in jail. I think it was for bullying another one of my colleagues who worked there for a while. He was called Mark, he was a bit different and fairly quiet.

My ex-boss is called Neil, he is not a pleasant person. He's a single man in his 40's. Very bitter and full of resentment. His lifetime imprisonment felt like the most important aspect of this dream.

I also remember being worried I was also going to receive the same sentence. Any insights? Thanks

His life sentence is that he is who he is and his actions have a cause and effect that is returned to him whether he knows it or not, sort of being stuck being his miserable self. A simpler explanation would be you feel you escaped a dead end miserable environment or job that subconsciously, may have been triggered by your feelings about your current employment. Perhaps you wonder if you're going to end up like Mark or have concerns that you might, like your job making you bitter because you're not passionate about what you do. It could also be a simple self-examination of judgment on your part. Perhaps you're thoughts and feelings about him or your time working there were recently triggered by something similar and produced the dream. Dreams like this are usually the result of fears or concerns.
