Actually, I've eaten roasted grasshoppers, it all depends on what spices they're cooked with cause they don't taste of much themselves.
Problem is they have a self defence mechanism to avoid being eaten that disrupts the digestive system in humans.
I was the sickest I've ever been for 3 days, so weak that I lay on the ground puking and dedicating myself without the energy to lift my head. So have to say yuck, for that reason alone. I don't enjoy dying.
The locals (in Kampala, Uganda) laughed. I'd eaten too much. What I should have done was eat a few then build up an immunity over many years.
Course, nobody told me this before handing me a tub (I still only half ate). It's like they try to kill you and if you survive they respect you a little. I decided straight away to move to the country
