Help with Dream Interpretation

Hi,
(going straight to the point)

I sometimes can experience my dream actions(unlike lucid dreaming or dream realization). It happen rarely but I find myself saying meaningless sentences or sometimes see unknown people talking. And this experience is different from Lucid Dreaming (which I have experienced). This is weird first of all, because of meaningless sentences. Example: bucket flying over the anything (never said this one, just made it up, but) This is grammatically wrong, impossible in this world and incomplete. But I utter such sentences continuously. And when I wake up I remember the experience. It's as though I am experimenting, but what?

What do you think I can do to keep my mind at rest.

maybe:
there is a portion of your mind that is generally overlooked or quieted.
when the serious-minded you is at rest, this weaker portion can "come out to play".
to maintain peace during rest hours, schedule more goofy time during your
waking hours -- let that silly, playful energy express while awake.

I actually get this as well. I try to look at the symbolism of what I am saying. From my viewpoint I see it as my higher knowing talking and it is a bit cryptic so I take notice and don't brush it off as a random thought. Dreams are very symbolic and may not make sense at face value. I think the sentences are simply an extension of that but something to be noticed so just try and look at the symbolism of what is being said and see if it somehow applies to something going on in your life. I do think it is your soul talking to you. At least that is what it feels like to me. Take care.

While I am awake, I try to be in the moment. Default state during the day is Daydreaming. I try to keep it all under my control.

Your suggestion is great. I am going to do that. See what comes out :)

Thanks for that insight.

I do sometimes get lessons in dreams. I actually keep record of what seems like a lesson to me. But this thing- the random chatter, It literally feels like I am trying something there. Like some experiment. But I don't know it for sure. It is just what I feel. I can't understand the meaning.

The problem is that- these kind of experience are exhausting and I feel headache after that. And it continues for 2-3 days.

I will try to write every jumbled up sentence from now on and see what comes out.

Thanks again.

Do you keep an updated dream journal? After about a month of updating you should be able to find distinct similarities in dreams.

It's possible it could help out a bunch.

Hello

Astral Projection / Dreaming / Lucid Dreaming

It's my opinion that astral projection, dreaming and lucid dreaming are intertwined along the same lines. The difference between dreams, projection and lucid dreaming is what is at the controls the conscious part of the brain and the subconscious part of the brain functions. What often stops the Astral Journey is that we fall into that state of sleep and that we know leads us to the state of dreams. It is when we have the conscious control of our brain that we know that we are not in that dream state and we are having a pure Astral Journey. In that conscious state of Astral Travel we are the one in control of the journey on the level that hold the power with us to stop it. In the Lucid Dream state we are not in that control place, though it is known that we can alter our dreams on some levels. For the most part that brain is in that state of ‘wondering’ free from consciousness thinking taking place.

While the Lucid Dream state is a place where the OB E can and does occur, and this often is the place where the “Heavy Exit” or “Torso Exit” takes place and we find that we are suddenly falling, or having that feeling of a thud experience back into the body. What has happened here is that we bridged the gap from the dream state the subconscious brain in action to a level of semi consciousness where the thinking part of the brain steps in. We are not awake enough to fully make the next step to understand most times where we are and what is happening.

When we are awake it is our conscious brain that is in the space of dealing with the here and now, with what we need to get done and be doing at the time. When our subconscious brain takes over in sleep that is the down time, it is where we often surrender to the fantasy aspects of life that we would at times like to experience. While dreams do hold many messages for us if we learn to remember and understand them for the most part its down time for the brain and body to just be.

Lucid Dreams-

It is said that it’s a higher frequency state to our dreams. In a Lucid Dream you can control or alter the events in your dream in the state that you realize your dreaming.

It is said you can learn to have Lucid Dreams and even share in a dream with another. When you go to bed at night simply put a plan in your head what you want to dream on.

For example your out on a walk and the snow is falling; look to see how it’s covering the trees. Then try changing the dream to a nice sunny summer day. Opposite contrasts seem to work quite well.

These dreams include the physical aspect that are with dreaming, example here is flying or falling. Now with this aspect it might well not be a "dream" state one is in. In this place of flying or falling one might well be in the state of Out of Body or Astral Travel and the brain has come to consciousness enough to make you aware you’re not in the body state of being physical so it’s a rather hard landing at times back in.

There is something called Astral Projection or Out of Body Experience. It is not always easy to tell what aspect we are experiencing but keeping a dream journal can help at times sort out what your experiencing over time.

Thanks awoken1one,
I update my journal everyday. You are right it is easy to find out meaning after looking at whole data combined. But there are some things that don't connect.

I will keep trying though.

Hi Lynn,
Thanks for all the information. I do keep Dream Journal, a detailed one :) I even have done Dream Cartography which is really fun.

I am just trying to figure out what this mess is. I feel heavy headed sometimes because of it. And I don't feel rested even after sleep. So I figured that maybe this mess is the problem. Maybe my mind is constantly in trouble even while asleep and does not rest during sleep.(stress maybe)

It was a few weeks ago though. Now I have controlled myself a little. I feel rested now. Therefore have started meditation with complete focus. Happy about that.

I would appreciate if you could provide me links to any posts that you have done regarding overcoming OBE difficulties. (no hurry though, because I am trying to improve mindfulness at the moment). As I said earlier, I have already had experience of projection and Lucid Dreams. APs- about 2-3. But it was after a year long wait that I got results. I want to go astral from waking state. My weaknesses are:

1. Physical- While trying to project, some body part suddenly moves automatically.
2. Even if I sit for an hour, (I can stay quite[no thoughts but one, maybe a mantra or any word] I don't project). I do see the scenery at that time which keep changing as other experienced people explain and I can even change it at will. But it just keeps going. And if I try to immerse there, I go to sleep. If I keep observing, I never loose my body. I have done it several times for more than hours and it only leads to frustration. So, now I have stopped doing it.
3. I can only loose sense of my body after pranayama(yogic breathing). But can't project even after that.

Many find the Astral Travel thing hard to obtain.

This was given to me a long time ago before I knew what I did naturally was Astral Travel.

Quiet your mind. Clear you thoughts. In your mind think....

I am going to count down from 3 - 1, visualizing each number on a white ball of light suspended in the air above my head. When I reach that third and final (1) my body will be deeply relaxed. I will have no awareness of physical sensations. I will not perceive of any physical discomforts. My consciousness will be focused on my Astral Body."

Starting with the number three visualize the White ball of light and start to relax the body. Do this three or four time.
Then move to the number 2 your now in an even greater state of relaxation. You’re now aware of physical sensations or vibration; you’re getting ready entering your Astral Body. Again do this three of four times.

Then move to the number 1 your consciousness is now in your Astral Body. Again do this number 1 three times. This will hold you in your Astral Body state. There is no time frame involved the best thing do to though is to try and keep mind "chatter" down. This is idle thoughts that get in the way. The best way to handle these thought is simply to push them away as they come to you some use a broom and sweep them.

Hope that this might help some. Too patients nothing happens overnight....
