Gee that would be about eighty dollars a day, with the prices of today that is.

Many Spiritual people smoke cigarettes ..... Natives smoke tobacco for the reason of Communing with Spirit.

Edgar Cayce smoked ..... Carl Jung smoked...... Braco smokes ...... is it a problem for you? Or just a perceived one conjured by anti-smokers? I smoked for a decade .... quit for a year.... smoked for 3 years .....quit for 7 years .... smoked for 6 months ..... when it is a problem i quit ...... when it is not a problem i smoke. Some smoke a pack a day into their 90s! There is no one answer for this ...... it is best to keep moderate and organic , the additives and pesticides are not good for any body , but tobacco becomes problematic for the majority , some it does not effect in a bad way. Be thank-ful for anything you take into the body and smoke with the INTENTION of communing with the Divine and any negative effects are neutralized. If smoking is to drop off , it will drop off without effort. Belief and Judgment can be far worse than the smoke itself! Those living in major metropolitan areas are already smoking the equivalent of a pack a day just in the city air! The Polluters love to point the finger at the smokers so no one looks at them.

You know, sometimes it's not about "spiritual this or that," it's about identifying what's healthy and what isn't.
Now, if a person wants to weaken their body, and kill themselves faster, and look 60 at age 40, then sure, smoking is perfectly fine and souls are free to choose, no argument there.

I have cut down almost in half what I normally smoke. I used to smoke almost a pack a day and now I am down to less than 10 cigarettes a day. I just decided that I was going to be more conscious of when I smoke. When I have tried to quit cold turkey in the past it doesn't work, so I decided cutting down first would be more helpful. I still haven't set a date, but I think it is going to be very soon.

I finally quit smoking and I feel so much relief from this. I'm on day five and already notice a difference. Very proud of myself.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this. For those who want to quit smoking, I suggest going to your doctor for nicotine patches to wean off cigarettes.

I don't feel I will be able to quit now, because I am missing one important thing. Truly wanting to quit. I like the idea of quiting, and know I should. But at the moment I don't really want to. I like having it as a crutch.

Does it interfere with spirituality in any way?
The same thing happened to me, exactly!

I have cut down a lot and smoke about 2 packs a week, but it's something I cannot give up totally and I cannot do NRT.

What is helpful for me...A bit...is to have a glass of water and sip it through a straw every time I feel like a cigarette..but then, there are those times I will just say "screw it" and have a smoke anyway.

At the moment, I am trying some apps like Habit Bull to see if they work, but I agree that an idle mind is part of my problem and it needs to be constantly distracted, so upping my meditation regime can only help in that regard.

Just for any smokers out there vaping is a very good alternative. I've exercised regularly most of my adult life (running cycling) and I was a smoker. When I hit my 30s I had to stop running because of the smoking. 4 years ago I started vaping and immediately took up running again. I run most nights and cycle indoor aswell. No side effects from the vaping, very good idea.

I used to be a smoker but I stopped it 3 years ago. The taste and the smell are different! It's amazing.
