Dust
I would rather be dust on your feet than a king in the streets, lord god.
I know in your presence I become humbled and,
In your presence I recognise absolution.
The light so bright that those who cannot choose to see it must run
that run that is hell, undelivered by you but that time it takes
for the unseeing eye to finally be able to see you.
On recognising all of the suffering I have caused I take up your promise
with tears on my cheeks I offer them to your open hand, lord god.
I cannot see how you see through sins, my own and others' I fail to forgive.
I know no other authority but you, now that I have seen you, and.
I know no other legitimate throne or seat of power than yours.
I pray every person witnesses the vision of you before passing, so that they
know what they will see.
When they stand in your kingdom no longer blinded by the flesh and it's demands.
