Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones...Meditate unceasingly, that you may
quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery.

Hi Miss H
You'll love the quote at Chapter 3 - we each experience our own reality
Quote:
Things are known not according to their natures but according to the nature of the one comprehending them.

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. It's the first in the series of high fantasy novels nicknamed "romantasy", both romance and fantasy. Someone on Youtube gave it a negative review, which only encouraged me to want to read it! LOL. It's so far very good and I won't spoil it for anyone.

I've recently read The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller and I was surprised of how much I enjoyed the story. It's a love story basically, a modern retelling of events from Greek mythology, centering on the relationship between Achilles, the legendary hero of the Trojan War, and Patroclus, his close companion. The story is narrated by Patroclus and brings to life the tension between destiny and choice. Very good!

Another one I enjoyed was One Hundred Flowers by Genki Kawamura which is a poignant and heartfelt story that explores themes of memory, family, and the passage of time. What are we without our memories?

I'm now reading the book: "Hampshire and Isles of Wight Folk Tales" by Michael O' Leary. It's a fun read full of folk stories compiled by the author who is resident in Hampshire.
I love it... because I'm from Hampshire originally and the book was a birthday gift.
