Yep, hopefully winning the Premier League Cup will cheer us all up! But there is still nine games to go so they’ve got to really pull their socks up. I hope the International break bri gs them back firing on all cylinders!
We have Everton next and that’s gonna be a really tough one.

Your very welcome, Everton looking pretty tough alright under Moyes but
definitely hoping for a Liverpool Victory. As you say the international break
might help too. Fingers crossed.

As you all know I've been very poorly, but even at my worst , and during the days in hospital when I couldn't open my eyes , the news did filter into my ears that Newcastle beat Liverpool at Wembley ( sorry Red !) , and my Son still can't believe it .
He cried with the emotion of seeing his team win something for the first time ever during his lifetime.
Well done Newcastle.

AngelB. Yeah it was good to see them win the cup cos they deserved it. Our lads were absolutely horrendous but gotta say we did have five senior players out injured.
Newcastle are going to have a parade with an open decker bus around the town tomorrow so hope you are able to watch it on tv. Your son must be over the moon and wish he was back in the UK for this one.
Good to have you back!!!

Generally, the Premiership games this midweek have gone as expected, but Ipswich’s 2-1 win at Bournemouth stops the relegation battle being over too soon. I still think the current bottom three will go down, but you never know. Leicester started winning around this time in the 2014-15 season, and stayed up even though they were bottom as late as 4th April. It is still possible if one of those teams goes on a great run (though Cunha looks to be inspiring Wolves to stay up now, and they were the team the bottom three were most likely to catch).

I Hope Ipswich Town are able to survive, but it seems unlikely. I like that club, was there in 2005 and was given a free tour in the stadium, just by a proud guy working there!

Great game against Everton last night. Took us ages to get the goal though. Came away with the three points which we needed and still hoping to win the league. I just hope the lads dont bottle it on the home run ha

That’s English football for you; very competitive. Everton have been in pretty good form lately but they have mostly been draws. It looked like they were set up to get a draw last night, but Liverpool found a way to win.
They won’t bottle it during the run-in, they have been too consistent all season long. And they have several senior players who have been there before, and even won the Premiership when there was a lot of disruption going on. They’ll be fine.

Yes they are very consistent. Very stable play under Slot. There is no hint at all they'd bottle this. They're not Arsenal, lol.

Thanks guys for ya positive feedback. Much appreciated.
We have Fulham on Sunday. I think we should be able to get the three points out of that one.
It’s been a big miss not having Trent and Joe Gomez in defence so they’ve put young Curtis Jones in to help out. He’s been doing a pretty good job but Trent particularly has been missed. Oh well Arsenal have guys out as well so I guess it evens out in the end.
I see Nottingham is still holding their own in the top four. I reckon they should give their coach the Coach of the Year Award. He’s done brilliantly. Some say that Slot should get it but I disagree because Slot was given a very successful team to begin with whilst Nunez was given a mediocre one and took them right to the top of the league. What do you lot think?
