Jenkins is very diverse with his creations.
If you just type in "adiemus" ( Karl Jenkins) and have a listen I'm sure people will
recognise it as it was actually composed for an airline advert LOL.

Well did I have a treat very early this morning.
The radio presenter was talking about a group who are only going to release 2 more albums and then they are going to spend the rest of their career dedicated to all the tracks that never made it on to the albums and stay loyal to all their music.

I was intrigued and quite surprised to hear that it was Coldplay !!!
As people might know , I love them !
But it's not really something I would expect to be hearing about on a classical music channel.

So then she said because of that she was going to play one of their creations , which was a song sung by their lead singer Chris Martin with a choir , and a song / hymn called " when I need a friend "....

It's absolutely gorgeous and I've never heard it before .
Just lovely and a strong contender for one of my funeral tunes !!

Oh yes, that's really lovely and soothing and would certainly do the job in lulling someone to sleep. Very calming.

Ooohhh ....
The 'Romance' section of the 'gadfly' by Shostakovich is just lovely.
Just a few minutes long but the whole suite is about 40 minutes I believe.
