Repeating theme: animal appears dead but comes back to life

I wondered if anyone would be interested in helping me interpret a series of dreams all with the same theme. I'm trying to understand what the theme means and why it keeps appearing. This has been going on the last two months.

In these dreams, there is an animal, sometimes two, and it (or both) appear dead or die in the dream, but then it is revealed that it (or one) is still alive. Twice the animal transforms into a woman after it revives. In these dreams, I always feel I've wronged the animal in some way, and it resents me. The animal is different every time. So far (as I remember, I don't remember my dreams every night) there has have been a rat, a goose, a jaguar, a cat, and a horse.

The latest dream was with the horse. This is my entry in the dream journal:

I wake up to find our “neighbors” strung up a brown horse by the back leg above the bed (Godfather much?). My husband cuts it down before I can protest, and I worry it will create a mess and be too heavy to move. To my surprise, the horse is alive and transforms into a woman as it falls. We escort her out of our house. She says, “It is dangerous there,” referring to the woods behind our house where she was captured. I dismiss her with, “Yes, it is. You shouldn't wander over here.” She leaves with several other women whom were waiting with worried looks at the edge of the property.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Interpretation: There is something, possibly related to some relatives (or neighbors), that worries you, and which you unconsciously repress because you don't want to get involved. As a result, your worry manifests on other unimportant things, which you dismiss because you realize they aren't important.

Guidance: Don't worry about what you don't want to happen, but wish for what you want to happen.
