Too intellectual

I dreamed I was in a bar with one of my best friends, we don't hang out much anymore because we're really busy. We bought some cake and a drink. I got a better drink than I offered from the bartender because they were out of what I ordered. I sipped and turned around to see people prepared a graduation party for another one of my friends, who is also friends with the aforementioned best friend. The woman with the microphone told us of this person's great personality and his "iconic walk", and said she's proud to announce his graduation. We all celebrated, the first thing my friends and I did was taking group pictures together. When we were finished with the pictures a blonde girl approached me and said that this is not the night for us to get together, because she has met an intellectual guy before and she found it to be emotionally draining. I asked her if that means she wants to be more emotionally independant, to which she responded that she doesn't even know what that word means and that was exactly what she meant. Everyone is know forming a line to a waterslide, which we both join. She looked weird at me like I was following her, to which I responded "I got to go forward in my own life too you know". I had a lot of fun swimming but I lost the group, when I tried to find it again I found the highest waterslides in the pool but both of them were almost straight down, with a "whirlpool" like drop.

This particular friend who graduated his birthday was last week, which doesn't seem like a coincidence. I would like to hear what anyone else thinks about this dream!

the graduation theme relates to having learned 'life lessons'.
you'd benefited more than anticipated, which is represented by your
upgraded beverage. someone in your social group has demonstrated
a skill at moving through life (their walk) which is worthy of being
emulated by others (iconic)... this has provided you with the bonus
to your lessons, and it may be referencing your 'soul family' rather
than that circle of friends.
the picture taking serves to lock the experiences into your memory.
that may amount to having it 'encoded' into your dna someplace,
if that idea resonates with you.
the remainder appears to be speaking of a future enterprise you'll
be involved with. the blonde (love interest) has approached you,
and initiated contact....
entering into that relationship will feel like a wild ride.
