Way to burn all the sins of past, present and future

Krishna told that the true knowledge giving the correct direction followed by the effort of soul in implementation will burn all the sins of past, present and future (Jnanaagnih…, Abhyasenatu…). Jesus propagated this concept telling that if you confess and do not repeat the sins through surrender to God, all the sins will be excused. The priests of the church crucified Him, since the propagation of such true knowledge will affect their interests. The sinners come and donate to get their sins cancelled. The priests play important role in this process and get highest respect from the public.

The propagation of this truth will affect their business and respectful positions in the society. The priests of all the religions in the world are doing huge business based on this false concept only. In fact, these priests can earn more and can get more respect if they are based on the truth and propagate the true knowledge.

When the truth is propagated, the souls will get real benefit. The priests will be rewarded more and hence, should not object the propagation of the true spiritual knowledge under the false impression that their livelihood gets spoiled by the true knowledge.

You make great points.
I just don't know if it will be seen by Christians/Catholics...who would be the ones
associated with priests.

Yes, forgiveness of sins is a fact where there is sincere regret and repentance, but forgiveness does not expunge the debt. We still have to reap what we have sown.

Don't you agree, that if a person makes a mistake
and sincerely feels bad, along with forgiving themselves...what is there to reap?
The lesson is learned and the angels are rejoicing...

If they sincerely feel bad, won't they also want to make amends?

Cause and Effect is one of the pivotal laws of the Universe. The pragmatic flip side of it is open to debate - punishment, a necessary lesson, amendment .... it depends how you look at it. But the Scales need to be re-balanced.

Silver Birch famously wrote that if a man seeks to escape the consequences of his actions, then he is not a man he is a coward.

Where there is LOVE, there is forgiveness. One may take comfort in that.
But if one wants to escape the consequences of misdeeds, maybe not doing them in the first place is the course of the wise.

Agree. Some think that if you confess, the sin is gone...but I think that you will still get the consequences, even if you are sincerely sorry for what you did.

This makes me think of the quote by Annie Dillard .......

Eskimo: "If I did not know about God and sin, would I go to hell ?"

Priest: "No, not if you did not know"

Eskimo: "Then why did you tell me ?"

People know about good and bad, right and wrong ..... religions don't suddenly make you a better, more moral person ..... heck, some of the worst atrocities in human history have been carried out in a Gods name and then the people who carried out the acts "absolved" of their "Sins" ..... very convenient this ..... surely a "Sin" is a "Sin" ? ..... or is it not, just when it suits an agenda ...... hmmm

Mistakes are made in life, intentionally or not, but to label them as "Sins" and heap on dire consequences (even of the hell fire type) if you don't "repent" to this God or that, is what religions have been doing for way too long now.
True also is that there is lots of money to be made pushing this message still, even though spiritually we are trying to move forward as a species. It's time to stop all the fear and guilt heaped upon people ..... there is nothing to reap.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I don't think anyone is talking about this 'eternal damnation' nonsense.

We are talking about Cause and Effect, the one thing on which even science can agree - every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

You reap what you sow. It is perfect justice.

I understand your reasoning knight .....but likening the scientific "Cause and Effect" principle to "Reaping what you Sow" just doesn't work for me ..... it is a physical Law of the Universe yes, but tacking it onto "Sins" .... using this logic, even repented ones still get you some form of punishment ..... I just can't buy that.

Remorse is a suffering in my book...

I am a big believer in total forgiveness across the board when there is mercy, love and if
a human or my doggy some shame and repentance.

Making amends...I see no amends needed with the criminal on Jesus' right...he melted Jesus' heart
with his request..just a simple request.
Remember me...That is the Nature of Love.

Forgiveness 7 xs 70...
