Yes it's interesting, what we have discovered....but I can't believe I missed the bit about studies of this being done on animals. Obviously, I did.
That has got to mean animals were deliberately killed for the study? Or did they die naturally?

In case of the former, then I completely understand where knightofalbion is coming from.

I don't mind them testing MY dead body when I vacate it. The scientists can do what they like. But it's a shame to involve animals as unwilling participants in our experiments, as they would much rather have lived and ended their lives naturally, than to be involved in a 'scientific study'. They are not asked for their permission, and if asked would probably not grant it, but instead are used by people. That is always a shame.

Would the animal know ahead of time that it was being born specifically for that purpose, or do only humans get to plan their own lives?

Well...I don't know every detail of those life agreements. I am making an educated guess here. And that is the finer details are not necessarily known. Maybe the Soul purpose for living on Earth is known (that would apply to any species) Possibly...some may know the manner of their passing, and possibly in their Souls understand it is to help humans learn in some way. But maybe all details are not known. I am not entirely sure of all the details of those agreements.
But I sense that the 'learning' they come to assist us with may not be about scientific discoveries, but rather may be about assisting us to grow nearer to the energies of Love.

Now that's only my own intuitive idea, based on the limited experience and intuition I have had with other species. I don't know the half of it really.

I understand where you are with this, since the complexities involved are fairly convoluted.

I was recently reading a book, by an author who specialized in past life reviews, and was truly taken back by one of her stories. One of her clients had reincarnated with the same guy around 50 times and was killed by him in roughly 35 of those. So here was a person who was put in harms way by an already proven killer over and over and over again.

We have a tendency to assume that our interests are our souls interests but I'm not at all sure that's the case. Children are born into active war zones, so the chance of being injured or killed is quite obvious from the get-go, so a decision was made with this knowing.

Similar with the rats in a lab. If they have a choice in the matter, then knowing that they were being born in a lab clearly would suggest that they would then know the outcome. The other option would be that they "didn't have free will", in which case they would not be conscious in the way that we're interpreting consciousness. One would have to have free will in order to actively decide their own fate, otherwise they are simply being pulled along with the tide.

So we, as our soul-self, may well decide on fates that we, as the physically manifested version of our souls, may find totally contrary to our happier preference. If someone is getting killed over and over again by the same guy then clearly there's more to this reincarnation thing than readily meets the eye.
