I'm not surprised that you look and feel healthier after returning to a more conventional diet that includes animal protein....that's how it goes with pretty much everyone I've ever known who tried going vegan....
As far as still enjoying vegan products......there is certainly nothing wrong with including anything you enjoy into your diet.
