[Unseeking Seeker]

The unknown

What a magnificent creature
Of treble my size & stature
Never before seen
Even in my dreams

I have two legs, it has four
Snort of thunder & galloping galore
Huge eyes & prominent ears
No wonder then, I tremble with fear

Tender hands I did trust blindly
Placed me on the saddle kindly
And reassuringly sat beside
Taking me on an exhilarating ride

The unknown, now known
Fear has flown
To resurrect again in another form
My imagination is what causes harm

As with the horse, it is with spiritual freedom
Freedom to enter the divine kingdom
By our voluntary choice, by our free will
With thoughts, desires, all movements ... still

As the river eventually flows into the sea
So shall we
Provided the obstructions along our way
Do not, our resolve, dissuade

Resolute like the river, rooted like the tree
We are, if we choose, here & now free
In the continuum of rippleless stillness
In, as & one, with the singular Oneness

Sun overhead
Our shadow is small
Heart heavy as lead
Back against a wall

Consciousness contracted
By believing that the caricature
Is us, magnificence subtracted
Crestfallen at our fallen stature

Within the bubble of illusion
We take to be reality
Sleep walking in delusion
We are our own casualty

Observing our coordinates
From a centred stance
As duality oscillates
We see our schizophrenic dance

Stopped, made still
Universe then doubt dispels
Telepathically
Clearly
Simply
Kindly

Acceptance
Requires an acceptor
Who accepts
Bisects ...

Non-thought cognition
Alchemical sublimation
Of self to non-self supreme
By just being ...

As bestowed
Line towed
Senses externalised
Fleetingness recognised

Indulging therein
If a sin
Be it so
For that’s all I know

A voice within
Reaches me through the din
Beseeching
Inner seeking

Is it a hallucination
A dreamy fascination
I decide to investigate
Contemplate

First under watch
Comes thought
The act of observation
Transforms to meditation

The silent transition
Enabling divine cognition
By my doing nothing
Manifestation enchanting

The outer does persist
And while I do not resist
Higher energy wins
As at each moment I begin

Anew
To renew
Consciousness
In stillness
