I love this question.

Time to me is individualistic.

Imagine that defying Stephen Hawking's Brief History of Time, time is NOT unidirectional but exists as a set of simultaneous arrows, each driven by each individual as an agent throughout the universe. Then the universe is then left to be understood as the fabric that is both influenced by interactions amongst individuals and as it develops or transforms, it affects these individuals in turn.

The absolutes or universal indicators of time are relative - we use atomic clocks so ubiquitously that is relative to our position around the Sun and the location on the Earth.

That asides, time is the effect of individual as an agent on one another. Time is immanent - it exists as an object of the consciousness, be it individual or collective.

Time is simply the measurement between two events. Scientists say that time gets distorted when travelling through space, & great thinkers say that time doesn't truly exist, but I don't need to worry about those things.

What I do find appealing is living without the clock & the calendar. To live by the light of day, the dark of night, & the four seasons seems impossible to imagine, but would brings us so much closer to the Earth.

That is one belief. Others may disagree.

Peace.

A Portrait Of Time.

Time. Into whose foreboding realms all longevity must fall,
While your masked face of destiny awaits upon God's call,
To break the chains that bind us to this Earth.
Time. Just one look from your cold eyes and all must draw their final breath,
As they plunge into the vacuum of a dark, eternal death,
The destiny for all who take your birth.

Time. Let not my life of brevity just permeate your hands,
As the hourglass of Fortune may expire it's precious sands.
With an intermittent, inconsistent flow,
Time. Where each awareness of the moment gets trapped in equilibrium,
With extremity of movement just like the clock's eternal pendulum,
From life to death swinging...to and fro...to and fro...

This was written by me when I was 16 and I just remembered it now.

Thanks for the detailed comment. I'll have to take my time to process this complex, somewhat mathematical stuff meanwhile.

Time is my friend. It reminds me of what is important. It disappears when needed, when I'm doing life the way it needs to be done. And it flashes constant reminders when I'm off track. Time may be my best friend and most valuable asset. It sets firm boundaries - it never bends the rules in reality, never lies and always hold true to it's word. Time is the most consistent thing I know. There when I need a reminder to stay true to what's needed, and there to be forgotten during precious moments. Thank you time.
