God chose to reveal himself to me as a bully, and when I've finally had enough of his ruthless, cruel ways and decided to turn away from him it almost seems like he's trying to win me back as if he's the poor victim here. I honestly don't know what the hell he wants or what his issues are. I do think we CAN know God based on how he interacts with each of us on an individual level.

but if someone just comes up to you and gives you a diamond that's not as rewarding as going down a mine and risking your life to chisel away for years until you find one yourself
