Loss of friend, and supernatural experience.

Hello everyone. I want to share an experience I had with you all.

Last Friday I was alone in my house and it was very quiet. Suddenly I heard loud pleasant bells chiming and they were coming from one of the empty rooms. I checked the room and of course found nothing. I thought it was very strange and it creeped me out a little, but I brushed it off and went about my business.

Well about an hour or so later an ambulance showed up at my neighbor's house and I found out he had died of a stroke.
That's not the only odd thing that happened after his passing. Yesterday I was hanging out in the garage with my room mate and suddenly a huge swallowtail butterfly appeared and flew into the garage.

It circled around me and my room mate and then headed toward our neighbor's house. I said out loud "I wonder if that's a sign from Vito" (our deceased neighbor) and then the butterfly flew back and circled around my room mate and I again several times as if it were greeting us. It lingered in the garage with us for a while before finally departing.

I've had other supernatural experiences before this. I just wanted to share. I believe my neighbor is in heaven :) Has anyone here experienced anything similar? Thank you for reading.

Such an experience is, in my mind, a true sign of a 'soul' signalling its contnued existence. I've heard a lot of similar stories.

I had an amazing experience on a very small scale about three years ago. I was reading in my bedroom and came across a sentence with the words 'invisible worlds'. This caused me to stop reading because these words I recognised as the title of a book I had in my living room bookshelf. Not, however, being quite sure if it were so, I took the trouble to put the book down and went into the living room to look. Sure, there was the book, as I gazed at the title I thought to myself 'are there really invisible worlds'? - and without my help in any way the lights in the room went on.

It was afternoon. I checked the light switches but they were all proprerly in place.

This was like having a question answered by God.

Oh, definitely. I think it's a sign of someone acknowledging to you that their soul may have passed on, but they are still with us or around us, or just to simply let you know that they are okay and/or at peace. I've had similar experiences after family members or acquaintances passed on and it was very comforting to know that they may not be around physically, but spiritually they were still "around". It's more like a sign or just saying "Hi" or like a symbolic gesture of saying that everything's okay.

They are beautiful reminders that everyone should look out for, in my opinion. Especially if you or someone is grieving and can't seem to be comforted or move forward.

your experiences I read here are very interesting, and it feels for me as a relief that I am not the only one that had expericiences. I have had several.

I always had a close relationship with my grand mother. I was only sixteen years when she got cancer, and was in the hospital. We all knew she would 'go' soon. The day she died, we were on a visiting an event with school. Suddenly I felt something go through me, it was so strong that I had to catch my breath. I was not outside, so it was no wind. But at that moment I saw my grandmother before me in 'my head', and I knew immediatly she had passed away. I asked a person who was with me what time it was and she said 3:20pm. When I went home from school, there was nobody home but I found a note on the table : we are at the mortician now. I knew it, just knew it, but still to get the confirmation was hard to take, cause I loved her very much. A bit later my parents came home, and I asked my mother, when did she die, I mean how late? Guess the answer, yes 3:20 pm. I think she came to say goodbye to me. It took me many years to grief and give her (fysical) loss a place, but I think it was also because I was just at the start of learning and searching for spirituality, I had not learned yet to find peace inside, or meditate, you know, all those kind of things. I think that can help to give everything a place.
