Hello. I'm new.

For many years I've been interested in the occult. Heck, I used to call myself a Satanist, but really I was agnostic. Well about two years back now I decided to go to church on Sunday. Didn't matter the church or the religion they practiced. Just wanted to see what it was all about. It turned out to be a Nazarene church. I've been going ever since. Even got baptized and finished reading the whole new testament and a lot of the old. I have called myself a Christian as I do believe in God/Jesus and Satan, but I'm still not sure who's the truly evil one. I've caught God in a few lies while reading the bible and God's been totally fine with doing some really messed up stuff, especially in the old testament. Then on the other end I haven't found Satan to be a lair at all really. Most of the time he does nothing but call God out on his bull. and try and help people from time to time. Heck he even tried to save Jesus life and yes I've heard the reasoning. That if Jesus didn't die we would still be all stuck in sin. I'm sorry, but the idea of original sin is retarded. That's my opinion on that. There is more I can go on about but I'll end this now. Really I'm here because I just need a place where I can discuss this stuff without ruining my home life and personal relationships I've forged with a lot of people in my church. I've read the bible a few times and realize it's full of various errors. The OT has more than one God and the NT is messed up as well. There's also tons of symbolism so I don't take anything in the bible literally. I agree with you on the idea of original sin. We're accountable for our own choices and no one else's. To be punished, or threatened to be punished, due to an ancestor's decision just doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Anyway, it takes very careful reading and studying to get to the root of what's in there. Also, I didn't limit my scriptural knowledge to the bible.
