I believe that there is a Hell on this Earth. If Greed and/or Fear drive or take over your life, you can feel imprisoned in your own hell. So, as simply stated with intense meaning? I am in agreement with Bishma and on the other side of the coin? I choose to follow mac's statement in creating our own heaven.

I believe that we are all meant to steer as far away as possible from that imprisoned place in our minds and sometimes physical imprisonment in a homeless shelter, abused home or actual prison walls.

I believe we are meant to learn to move briskly and with confidence towards Love (freedom, peace, joy, integrity, etc., etc.) and at the same time live IN LOVE with GRATITUDE. That is Heaven to me. Now, I do believe there is in after life of the most high (where fear doesn't exist)...once we learn what we need to in the physical lifetimes.

"I choose to follow mac's statement in creating our own heaven." Ah. Please don't misunderstand me - I had simply used the earlier argument to show that we create neither heaven nor hell. What we experience, what we do, what we fail to do, are parts of what we come here to experience. Many other issues are also experienced along the way....

Heaven and hell are simply human-made (mostly man-made) interpretations of poorly understood concepts, teachings maybe delivered by those who had little understanding themselves, or perhaps simply not understood by their human listeners....

Communication is a hard business!
