Spirit Animals

This post has been very informative. Im putting the pieces together as to what mine is and even though my favorite animal is a skunk. I think my guide would be a cardinal. My favorite color at one time had been green..for years. Then some years back, red drew me in. Not totally sure if it was before or after the red cardinal came to visit me over a period of weeks. She would fly in at my window nearly everyday. My youngest at the time was a baby and to me, it seemed as it would get "her" attention (what I thought at the time) by pecking at the window or jumping back and forth on the branches that brushed our window. We would wave to her and talk to her a bit and then she would just fly off.
This was at a time where I was really becoming aware of the little signs and symbols that something was brewing. Although, at the time I always brushed it off as being a relative that came back to greet our daughter since she had passed 22 days prior to her birth.
Must look it up to see if their behavior resonates with me.

This is interesting especially the bit about it could be an animal u fear, as i hav had a fear of most dogs for years since i was bitten by one as a kid, but the past 6 months or so dogs keep looking at me funny. They look back at me if they hav gone past or on the other side of the road or generally start wagging and wanting to come to me. Previously most dogs would ignore me, i probably gave off that vibe. so i wonder if i hav one as a shadow totem and that is why they r reacting differently to me.
