Sesheta--I'm glad you told me what attracted you. I'm not sure what characteristics other cultures found in Cicadas.

Yes it is a beautiful cottage. I am always blown away by how deeply in my heart I feel these attachments to places, things that I have never seen in this life.

If we are only shown the lives we lived that still have issues in this life, then there must be something about them. I have been deciding that I am being shown that, for my soul, the importance of a special place in Nature and Home are of utmost importance. And I've followed this in this life too.

I just wonder when the feeling will be less intense. As it is now, it makes me feel...drawn up toward something, like a tractor beam--and a little incomplete. It's still a bit of a mystery.

Thanks for sharing those Cicadas. I would never have thought of making them a Totem--but I can see it.

Lora

P.S. I share your love of all big cats and Ravens!

I would be interested to know what the following animals are likened to.

Horse
Wolf
Dog
Cat
Tiger
Dragon (of a water/lightening bent)

One of the things that I have "seen", is that they seem very much to be in yen/yang pairs. When they "visit" me they mostly come in their pairings, but not always.

I have two primary power animals, Bear and Dragonfly.
Bears are close relatives of Trees. They're known to live halfway between the mundane and spirit worlds. They appear gruff and scary on the outside but are really quite gentle and playful. The primary source of strength for a bear is his family. Check, check, check, and check. Me all the way. And dragonflies offer the ability to break down the illusions of the mundane world to reveal the deeper truth behind the illusion.
