Ah Buzz...if you enjoyed Jeff Bridges in his dude role - have you seen The Fisher King (my all time fav film)? He plays the lead role in this and is superb as the laid back ex-DJ. A real treasure if you've not seen it - go to OP for my (cough) "film review" of it.

I saw it years back and enjoyed it. Definetly worth a revisit though Amy, thanks...

Oh Spinal Tap was hilarious! Bet this spoof of a heavy metal band was quite close to the reality too.
(Not seen your other 2 films - shame on me).

I must also add Rock of Ages... it is fun, the music rocks(i love 80's music) and Tom Cruise is amusing... I saw it in theatres and bought it yesterday on dvd, can't wait to watch it again... It is not in my top 10, but i loved singing along in my head during it..

Actually the Spinal Tap film made me think of another hilarious black comedy based on dumb dudes....DARK STAR!
Anyone seen that? They've been stuck in a space ship for decades and get on each other's nerves...real fun to watch their
very different characters spar.

Here it is - on youtube (whole film) - 1 hour 22 mins.
