Telling someone that you think that they are making a 'poor' choice is not disrespecting them, any more than telling someone to 'watch out' for 'ditches' that they might nor presently 'see' as being 'ditches' is 'disrespectful'.
Pooh-poohing such 'served' up 'information' as (just?) being a function of 'conditioning' (instead of considering and engaging in evaluating is possible 'merits') is 'blindly' dismissive, IMO.
Kids may 'wish' to ride on someone's coat-tails just to go wherever such somone may be going instead of taking full responsibility for personally piecing together the best way for them to personally grow 'up'. That doesn't mean that 'parents' should simply 'honor' such choice.
Maybe it the fact that I have 'transcended' 'conditioning' that results in my seeing what you don't see, Iamit. Check out and evaluate my previously shared 'argument' in the above regard at http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/sh...9&postcount=16 and do come back with whether you agree or disagree with it and why, that is if you truly 'respect' my capacity for unbiased logic enough to truly engage in 'open' conversation with me.

We have already been here David with reasons for a reasonable, amicable breaking off expressed and understood. Be well and good luck

Good 'luck' (albeit i don't believe there's really any such thing) to you too, whatever the parameters of the 'it' you think/feel/believe you are!
I hope you (and by extension others here) 'truly' understand and appreciate the reasons why (i.e. the Logic or Logos) Spirit inspirationally impels me to challengingly confront anyone who unqualifyingly advocates or endorses 'guru' or 'tradition' or this or that 'philosophy' following ( except as a 'starting' 'launching' pad for personal psychospiritual aspiration and evolution, that is).
"You reap what you sow" - no 'free' coat-tail 'rides' in my 'reality'- universe!

You come with funny arguments ... and you again, misinterpreted my words. We have a communication problem Houston!
Probably that is the way you look at others who disagree with you, with "lack of respect". I din't intend, nor inferred that I do that too.
I respect everybody's right to their beliefs (in the confines of the law of the land). To respect everybody's beliefs is a ridiculous concept. I don't intend to change anybody, and I dislike others' efforts to change me.
All this has nothing to do with conditioning. By the way, we all are conditioned in some fashion, and most of us don't realize it. Obviously you too. Gurus and dogmas, that you seem to embrace, are the epitome of conditioning ... in the most detrimental ways.
You seem to have some disagreement with my ideas, and picked on me. Let go ...

I'm here just to express my opinions, and read about others'.

'Friendly'? Pshaw! You clearly chose not to 'grace' my 'argument' with a meaningful response, posturing as 'wise' one.
Your 'friendly acceptance' gratuity is therefore rejected.
