Cute lamb
I was cycling today as I came across a little lamb stuck in the water behind a fence and from the looks of it he been stuck a few days and abandoned by its peers.
So I picked the lamb out of the water and put him near the herd and went off to inform the owner.
As I looked behind I saw the lamb, barely holding its weight, following me to the gate and just stood there staring at me, it was as if he thanked me.
Cute huh? I hope he made it.

Such a beautiful little thing...
Yes, destined for the slaughterhouse because somebody wants lamb for their dinner, but at least the lamb felt a little human kindness in his short life.

I wonder if it would be possible to make the farmer an offer of money for this lamb? When it is ready to leave its mother of course. The same amount as he would get if he sold it for meat?
Nice thought....but I don't know how happy it would be alone as a "pet". Sheep do like to be together with each other...

I like that thought.. I think the lamb would be happier on the fields being free for its short life though.
I trust the slaughtering will be as quick and painless as possible when the time comes, so at the least I saved it from needless suffering.
