Nightly Pagan prayer

Hi All, I have classed myself as a Pagan for over 25 years and in the earlier years we had quite a group, but as time and circumstances change plus now I live in Turkey I don't do the spiritual things I used to, My beliefs haven't changed one bit and I try to be a good person, two things I could do with a bit of help on First does anyone know of a good nightly prayer??? I feel nowadays I ask too much of The Lady & The Lord and don't give enough back, also I don't know why when I have finished my nightly talk with them I tend to visualize a pentagram I am now worrying incase I am banishing my prayers!!!???? any advice will be greatly appreciated thank you Blessed Be

The idea of a nightly prayer is most likely christian in origin. We should honor the Gods in everything that we do. I am not Wiccan, rather an Asatru, but the systems are not dissimilar. I am not saying that you shouldn't do what you are doing, if you feel right doing it then by all means go ahead. If you wish to give something back then sacrifice on the Holy days. Burn grain offerings or what ever is appropriate for your belief system, but don't feel that you must give a nightly prayer. If you wish to do something daily, think about doing a small candle ritual in the morning to bless the new day.

Nightly prayers are Christian origins people used to pray for forgivness before they nodded off incase they were to die in there sleep and still have sin on them.
I am not familiar with any type of Paganism that practises this. May I ask what type of Pagan you are? What is your dietys belief systems etc,.
