Stories, hello
HI, i suppose when it comes to things spiritual there is the first feeling i
have, longing, then sadness.
I long for richness, connection, friendship, connection to community and
most importantly what i feel is spirit and self.
I feel sadness in that I have always been taught to find that through
what is 'today' the Christian Church and i have always been disappointed
in what i find.
the more time i spend in spiritual pursuits outside of what is -our modern- Church the more I find my personal growth blooming like spring.
One such story which particularly speaks to me is "The Apples"
Story my spirit teacher shared with me. I wrote this out as he shared it and
want to share it with others.

One day a man was walking along the back roads on his way to town and he spotted
a basket of apples sitting beside the road.
He was very hungry and so he took out a coin and placed it into the basket and
took a shiny apple.
A few bites into the apple, he found a bad spot. He spit it out and tossed the
apple against a tree.
He got another apple out of the basket. Again, he found another bad spot.
He said ‘This farmer will be in trouble and his reputation will be ruined by
selling these at market today. I should help him out.’ So the man started
going through the basket and tossing apples left and right.
Suddenly a man emerged from the heavy brush and exclaimed ‘What are you
doing?’
The good Samaritan told him that he was helping out by discarding the bad
apples.
those are not your apples! The farmer shouted.
I don’t understand, Replied the baffled man. I was trying to save
your reputation!
Those apples were for the pigs, The farmer scolded. Now what are they
going to eat?
