How to Give a Blessing - The Voice

When did you stop giving one another blessings? When did you last ask someone for a blessing?

Energetically a blessing is a form of sacred exchange between two or more people that is deeply nourishing. Take the practice of “I see you” and magnify it over 100 times.

Now blessing should not be confused with approval. If you need or want approval ask for that. A blessing is something very different. In fact when you need or want an energy from someone, you would benefit from learning to ask for that energy specifically. In this manner you practice being awake and aware to your needs and wants. For example you someone might say, I would like your support.

More specifically you might say I would like your agreement, acknowledgment, approval, affirmation, listening, or any other quality that you can think of. List of Qualities. Learning to ask specifically for a quality from others is a very powerful practice because 1) it develops an fine tunes your awareness, 2) it provide others an opportunity to be of service, 3) you learn to deal more directly and intentionally in the world of energy and energetic exchange.

A blessing shares in common with qualities that it is an energetic exchange. However, a blessing is a gift from someone that is uniquely suited to both the sender and receiver. A blessing contains the following attribute – it is unconditional, with the just a hint of appreciation flowing through it. A blessing is a sharing of unconditional good will that is deeply nourishing and can be used by the receiver in any way that he or she chooses. So you can see this is very far away from approval.

I can tell you how to prepare to give a blessing. I cannot tell you how to create your form of blessing. This is the wonderful part – everyone has a unique way of giving a blessing. No two blessings are alike.

1) Just relax and take a few breaths, quieting your mind, 2) connect to the sacredness of what you are about to do, 3) hold the intention to gather a blessing, 4) choose where to gather the blessing from, 5) gather the blessing, 6) let the blessing drift from you to the other person(s). Never push a blessing.

Gathering a blessing is your expression of being – some will gather from the earth, others from the heavens, others will gather from different expressions, wind, water, still others my journey to the spirit world and gather, some may gather from the sun or other distance stars. It is well within your capability to do any of these.

A blessing is your heritage. As energetic beings that share nature with the source. By blessing someone you share the connection, a way of reminding everyone of your nature and the source.
