Breathing to AP

Hi all
Something has been puzzling me for a long time. I hope it is not a silly question. We all know that we AP every night and it mostly happens when we are not aware of it. We lie down and we breathe obviously until we fall asleep. You could try to do the same thing, breathe in and out until you AP if you are having trouble to AP. I would have thought it would work for everyone. What are your thoughts? Do you think it could work for you.

Breath is connected to every kind of energy manipulation and spiritual practice there is. (Or I simply have yet to find one that doesn't involve focusing on breath or controlling breathing in some way, shape or form.)

Focusing on breathing calms the mind and body and promotes greater focus and control of energy as well as stopping you from falling into a deep sleep among a lot of other things.

I think it would benefit everyone.

Yes, conscious breathing has many benefits including relaxing and bringing your attention within, away from the thinking mind which can get in the way.

However at some point we have to let go of watching and feeling the breath in order to leave the physical body, since the astral body does not breathe.

The trick is not to consciously stop paying attention to your breathing, because if you do that then it can alter the rhythm of your energy and also make you forget to breathe and then gasp and snap out of the mental state or trance you've gotten yourself in.

It is best to naturally loose track of our breathing slowly as our awareness lifts smoothly out of our bodies.

The act of "stepping" or rising from your body itself can be felt in numerous ways.

The most common is a heavyness in the body, sleep paralisis while being aware, overproduction of energy (tingling, hot and cold shivers, an intense vibration right through your midsection) then a dull humming or ringing in the ears that grows stronger until the mind detaches from the body to create a sense of numbness and lightness, as though you are floating.

Then as your body drifts to sleep your mind and soul remains separated from it, hanging just above it. All you need to do then is get the hang of seeing and moving about in spirit.

I'm sure many others have had similar and quite different experiences.

That's just the general gist of it.
