Is it possible for twin flames to experience soul shock before even starting a relationship? For example the twin flame chaser had expressed their feelings toward their twin flame, and caused soul shock which led the runner to well run and avoid their feelings.

Who told who that they were a twin flame? If someone told me that they were my twin flame I would run too, that's nuts! People can't just go round telling one another that they are their twin flame. If I have miscontrued this, please explain what you mean Alice?

I would not say that they are running from the tf, who even knows if they are twin flames, the runner tf terminology would not apply in this circumstance. We can dress it up all we like, however one doesn't shock another person.

It takes time and understanding to realise if someone is really your twin flame - there needs to be some connection first. You've said there has been no relationship yet, how can this be a sign of tf connection?

I have no experience personally of telling a man with whom I'm in a relationship that it has deep spiritual meanings to us both. And let's face it, the demands of twin flaming are pretty deep and need a commitment that extends well beyond any earthly commitment.

Understandable. Soul shock is probably just shock that someone's bombarded someone with a spiritual cruise missile. If the soul is involved at all, it's defending itself!
I think I'd react the same way were I fortunate to have a man suddenly fall passionately "in love" with me, but claiming after a few dates that I'm his soul mate or twin flame. There's always a chance that one may turn up that I feel some deeper connection with but time is needed to know how realistic we're being. My first reaction would be "you're crazy. You know nothing of me." You need to live with someone (or see a heck of a lot of them) to know whether you can accept each other's foibles here on the earthly plane.

Twin flames may be possible. The demands are big - but to me, if your relationship isn't fulfilling and collaborative on this earthly plane then no amount of spiritual mumbo-jumbo is going to equip you for an eternal marriage in a spiritual way. Perfectly possible to have spiritual bonds without a fulfilling physical relationship, sure - that may constitute a soul mate, but the "logic" of twin flames means a complete relationship to me thus including its earthly side. Of the many variations of "twin flame theory" one thing in common is a total surrender.

Too often here I read of people fed up with a stale partnership or simply lonely and yearning for romance suddenly meeting someone, falling passionately for them (often regardless of the other person's response) then proclaiming them a twin flame - all on the basis of a feeling, rather than knowing that that person is singing from the same (spiritual) song sheet, as they say.

It isn't easy. One's asking for TWO people to align and share their spiritual paths enough to go through eternity together. That isn't something one can anticipate from a flurry of romance and decent sex or simply yearning that one's target is going to respond sooner or later.

I'm inclined to agree unless the couple have had time to get to know each other here on physical earth enough to know whether their spiritual paths (if they have any) are aligned or could be if roughly on the same track. Men and women seem to have differences in the way they "become" spiritually inclined so it's a big ask. In the natural order of the ecology male and female generally have different purposes so in a way they are complementary (as they are on the material plane). Through religions mostly, humans have wrapped the mating game up in thick layers of ritual and taboo to make it all frightfully complicated.

It's a nice idea that A can pin B down to an eternal commitment by claiming B is their twin flame but that leads to A building up expectations and demands which is most unhealthy and getting quite neurotic about it. One reads enough stories here of upset, despair, obsession, depression etc to show that people do fall into this trap.

Just get on and enjoy your relationships and if they don't work out be honest and move on.
