The New Age does get some things right.

I've criticised the New Age in the past; but I do not think it is a waste. There are some things which the New Age does well. The first thing is that it has opened up the subject of people being God. Before the New Age this was taboo; but now it is discussed much more freely.

People can seriously discuss whether they are God now; which I think is important. Another benefit of the New Age is that it has helped the West relax it's attitude about other belief systems and religions. You don't have to be Christian any more. You can choose.

The final benefit of the New Age is the self-love/self-empowerment thing. People are realising that they can be in control of their own lives. The self-love aspect of the New Age helps people a lot I feel.

People being God has been around for a long time.

You can read it in the Bible and within Hinduism becoming One Like Siva has been around for a long time.

New Age seems to be more about not learning what is known rather than introducing anything new.
