Peculiar dream about a lost friend

Merry meet!
I'm not sure if this should be under dreams or death, so I'm putting this in both. Almost a year ago I lost a very close friend of mine, since diapers, she was a very bad alcoholic and life was painful for her and no matter what help she received it never did any good for her. When I think of her I always picture a woodland fairy, that's what she was like. Well, about 4 months ago I had a dream, she came and woke me up, we hung out like we used to do, went out to eat to her favorite place. At the end of the dream she tells me, "I wanted to give you one more day, I wanted to let you know I am where I belong now, I'm so happy here." Then it was over. Today I took quite a long nap and during I had another dream. I was with my fiance and his sister, I was waiting for my past friend to get here but deep down I knew she wouldnt show up. My fiances sister keep pounding her feet on the floor telling me my friend would be right up and I just kept crying hysterically. Finally I ripped my necklace off and instead put on my tree of life pendant. I look up and my friend comes flowing in, (she was always flowing in life too) she tells me that she was sorry she was late to see me and that she cant keep coming back to me or she wont have a way back, we say our partings and I woke up. Are these truly dreams, caused by grief? Or maybe I am actually somehow calling her to me in my sleep? Any thoughts would be great!
