The entire article basically says the difference is in the eye of the beholder, but both make distinctions between right and wrong. Moral distinctions between right and wrong might be personal or religious whereas ethical distinctions between right and wrong might be community or philosophical.

Both make distinctions and hold there is right and wrong based on their own subjective view, and that brings us back to Vivekananda. Strip out personal, religious, community, philosophical points of view and the basis at its root is selfishness at the expense of others is wrong and selflessness at one's own expense is right. That's at the heart of religion and spirituality.

Craving meditation just for meditation's sake is still craving.

I didn’t say that.

The rest of your post -

This is what happens to those of us who have had a “taste” - intellect gets in the way, imagining that a little bit of comprehension equates to genuine enlightenment.

I should have clarified. That one part about craving was a general statement and wasn't directed at you. One only need look in the meditation sub-forum here or find any other meditation forum to see attachment to the practice itself and losing sight of the goal. More interest in the trees than the forest, so to speak.
