After arriving home, I prayed to Shiva again "so my Lord, what was THAT all about then? What is it you were trying to show me? What was I meant to take away from that whole exchange? I am at a total loss to interpret that in any meaningful way".... It was met with uproarious laughter.

What I wanted to know is what do you guys make of this? Is there anything I could have done differently as a Hindu and how to see the Divine in all? I mean, God wanting to get intimate with me is a pretty novel idea, albeit a repulsive one...
Good story SD,

You just forgot (perhaps why the laughter) that God and God's protection, and importantly God's Will for you within any particular circumstance is also present in you, your devotion to truth, your discrimination...in seeing right through a pathetically arrogant, creepy, mendacious, (add a few more...)_______, __________, __________ beggar/exploiter/manipulator/sexual predator.

If God is truly within all, then you can't exclude yourself by temporary amnesia or mutual exclusion...e.g., God in me OR them but not both simultaneously.

Shivani...

*sigh*.

This is ALL about projection but from opposite poles, it seems.
YOU were consciously projecting positive vibes -- a lovely act -- and were intentionally meeting him on the level of a beloved child of the Creator.
HE was likewise projecting his baseness onto you and hoping it would stick. He was "playing at" relating to you as a fellow human being whilst in fact he sought to meet you on the level of his base urges.

However as Miss H. said being a woman is typically a curse as far too many men will refuse to bring their consciousness up to their heart centre and above. They will too often refuse to relate to you from chakras (and mindsets) above the first few.

If you'd been a gent then he would have left you to eat your meal in piece after a brief hello.
But purely due to the fact that you happen to have the genitals and breasts he craves basely (as there's no love of your unique person by a total stranger in any meaningful sense)...
...then instead, he treated you like an animal -- albeit a talking animal.

What do you do when relating to such a pitifully limited individual, who's rather invasively propositioned you whilst you were trying to enjoy your Turkish food?
BTW...don't let him keep you from eating your local soul food -- that would be far too much to give over!!!

But I would simply say sth along these lines...that for you sex is about an authentic love of souls between committed partners and that otherwise you find it repulsive and unappealing I.e., being touched by the cold hand of a stranger is loathesome and unappealing. You are free to smile winsomely and bat eyelashes whilst getting this message across, if need be, so that they leave you in peace. I find the biggest blockheads will tend to get this sort of message, plainly stated. As you noted, even appealing to your religious beliefs didn't get through to that one.

Like, can you really make it any clearer? Hahahaha...This is who we are when we grow up...so please deal with it, eh?

Peace & blessings

It seems as if Shiva listened to your request and sent you a challenge to see your response. Could you see this man (obese, balding, wearing a suit but dripping with gold jewellery and precious stones) as a manifestation of Shiva? Everything about him seems designed to cause you maximum discomfort.

I am not surprised that your prayer to Shiva after the event was met with uproarious laughter. It is all the Leela of the Divine.

@ Shivani ... conversation over coffee!

Best taken merely as a harmless conversation and a dopamine releasing coffee

Plus you did your good deed of the day!
