Dissolving/transmuting/reintegrating thoughtforms

If a thoughtform is self created, does that make it easier to dissolve and reintegrate into oneself? If a thoughtform is created with sexual energy, can you retrieve that energy when you dissolve the thoughtform? I ask all this because I naively and stupidly created a thoughtform over an 8 year period, and it has taken a whole lot of my energy and power. I thought that it would be a simple matter to dissolve self created thoughtforms.

It's my experience that thoughtforms gain their strength through reinforcement. While it's easy for some people to dissolve thoughts - and the skill may fluctuate for other people depending on their moods - you're still going to be trying to undo eight years of reinforcement. It would be like if you plan to tear down a brick building you've built onto over the years. You can probably knock down at least most of it the first few times you try, but the cleanup and creation of a new, healthier building is still going to take a lot of daily effort. I also figured it would be easy since thoughts are just neuroelectrons, but I've learned that that part isn't what's difficult; it's remembering to replace those thoughts to reroute those neural pathways elsewhere. That said, I've had a lot of success over the last few months with rerouting years-old thought patterns. Although it has taken less time than I thought, it fortunately doesn't seem to be a 1:1 ratio of time necessary to undo what's been built up.

Regarding the release of energy, I'm not as clear about that. I've noticed that what energy used to be put into reinforcing the negative beliefs is now fueling the positive ones, so it seems to be true that the amount of energy available - with the exception of fluctuations due to rest, food, and exercise - seems to be consistent. So yes, I would suspect that if you undo a thoughtform that is using sexual energy, you would be able to use that energy for a new thoughtform.

I was standing on the bridge, staring at the water, and you passed and said 'Good morning'."

In this case theres no reinforcement because the thoughts that created it are long gone, it used sexual energy in the past but not in the present But yet I still find myself with no energy. If the thoughts that created it are never repeated, does this mean the thought form should gradually lose its energy, and dissolve of its own accord?
