How To Grow A Tree Of Love
To grow any tree
You need good soil
Soil receptive of the seed
The seed is love
The soil needs to be earthy
With just the right balance
Of pain
And joy.
In between this soil
Love will grow
All pain nothing can grow
All joy and nothing takes root
Love needs diversity
And a warm heart to grow from within
We are the leaves
And perhaps the branches too
Branching out and into the light
Oh that sacred light within
That burns with the eternal fragrance
Of love

The question
Can love grow
In a barren land
Avoid of water
Under a shadow
Can love grow
with a broken seed
Destroyed with force
Smashed with indifference
Can love grow
When nobody to plant it
Locked away in a barn
To be undiscovered

Love will grow when the heart opens. The seeds are there, as you mentioned sometimes the seeds fall on hard grounds.
As I said, to much pain love will not grow. Pain can drive the heart inwards, God knows.

Love grows from within and without. Where there is a heart, love can grow.
Some hearts are hardened, life can turn us inwards in a vicious spiral of pride, hate, and all the other vices too. Spiritual pride to name a few.
One man's pleasure is another man's disdain.
The source of love is found in God.

What if love is waiting to be acknowledged within

Our love is the awareness that can turn inwards, or outwards.
Self-love is OK, but just the beginning of love.
The other before the self is God-like love.
God is not bounded by love, God does not Love by attachment, we do.
God loves freely, part of that creational energy.
Hence to know love, and not just talk about it, put your sister/brother first, and love God above all.
To know God you need to step outside of yourself and acknowledge God.
It's part of the mystery around God that I love.
