secret to successful meditation
lies in the difference between focusing and observing. anything. including breath. or a flame. or music, or just about anything one might use as a tool or a guide to meditate.
focussing also includes not observing.
the way to identify the process used in each is that one of these is totally effortless, instantaneous, and the moment it is experienced one simply knows it to be the most natural state amidst all else. there is nothing that can stand between this method of meditating, unless until one allows and chooses something to interrupt, even if only by choosing to shift the method.
Also the difference between mindfulness and meditation.
for anyone whose attempts to meditate only makes their attempts go down a spiral

ok..seems like something along similar lines, although not as simply, nor as directly was discussed not long ago.
