New Words: Patricept and Matricept

I have a suggestion for a new word to help distinguish family members from those who feel some words just do not feel right. Also, as my mom first explained to me, and I agree totally, that there is also a distinction we tend to use in some traditional words.

Dad: A person who has earned this word applied to them as judged by the child. A more closer, affectionate word. Not appropriate to all though.

Father: A person who has birthed a child that is male. No dishonor is meant by the word.

Patricept: A person who does not deserve the title dad or father. Through actions (usually very harsh) as judged by the child the other words of dad or father just doesn't feel right. Term of dishonor.

Of course there would be those who it applies to the other gender as well. So Mom/Mother/Matricept.

There are some who this term would be a much better word for if you ask me.

My mom and dad weren't very nice people but they are still my mom and dad. Titles don't mean much to me at my age. I've made peace with my past and with them and have moved on.

But if you are still stuck in the quagmire of your past then titles can come in very handy. I don't mean that as a condescending statement. I was stuck for 40 years before I broke free. So I do understand your concept.

Interesting, you can just call the whole world your family, brothers, sisters, your children, even animals, plants an trees, or see them as yourself too... few ways to perceive it all.
