An Icelandic woman, her volcanic scents and mythological inspirations

In late 2015, Icelandic perfumer and jewelry designer Lilja is bringing her company to the UK for a launch with business backers. Her perfumes are extracted from the waters of Iceland’s volcanic regions; her jewelry is inspired by the magical staves of Nordic mythology; her feminine accessories are made from eco-friendly materials. The Gydja Collection’s admirers already include Nicole Scherzinger and Eva Longoria. It’s also a concept that goes beyond being a business – Lilja is something of an idealist and has founded Empower Women, an organization dedicated to the promotion of female potential in the Third World. Check her out on Gydja’s Kickstarter.
