Has your beer got fish bladder in it?
I didn't know that almost all beer has fish bladder in it, to make it look clearer. I'm not a beer drinker, but thought that any vegetarians or vegans reading this section of the forum might like to see this article:

That's insane, I'm not a beer drinker either, but that's good to know to pass along...and watch out for isinglass in kosher wines!

Teetotal, so not an issue, but ....
Bits of dead animal here, there and everywhere. How did it come to this, that we are so disrespectful and cavalier about the lives of other creatures, who are our brothers and sisters in Creation?????

I'm neither a drinker nor a vegetarian, but....ewww! Ew ew ew EW! Bladders are where PEE goes, waste the body is trying to get rid of, and I just can't do fish. Lovely creatures, but they smell like a girl's locker room. I tell people I have a chitin intolerance just to get out of eating seafood.

Oh that is horrible LPC....and I didn't know.
I like beer. I quite like Gunness also. I had no idea I had been drinking fish bladder.
Thank you very much. Now I am going to find some fish-free beer. I always like a glass at the end of the day, before dinner.

When I was a little kid my parents always made wine, with blackberries, apples, grapes, etc. I would watch them make the wine, and at one stage they would put 'finings' in it. They said it was to stop it being cloudy. I asked what 'finings' were, and they said 'Isinglass'
Okay....that was enough for me. It baffled my brain and I asked no more questions!
I don't think they even knew what they were!
