You might be new to reading Auras but you are far from being a novice!
Very rarely have I ever see an aura that was one solid color. I see them like you do.... flowing colors......
What I have seen are Auras that change, get smaller or bigger, etc. Something that is dynamic versus static.
It looks like you are looking at your Aura with your eyes open. That is how I do it.
"my hands have a consistent light blue/aqua and sometimes greenish color around them" which brings out you ability to communicate with others but you do it with love.
"whereas my head and shoulders have an extremely light bright yellow that looks white a lot of the times." You are inspired, working with the Universe as you grasp what you are seeing.
