Flat earth?

They never state the exact limits/locations of the perimeter of the planet probably in case someone goes there and looks over the edge! What if they fell off?

It's unsurprising that this thread arose here... I've been hearing of more and more people talking the "the Earth is flat" theory lately... Someone decided to raise that issue again and slapped it on a website, which was copied to another website, and so on and so forth. Scary thing is that a friend of mine has a qualified Dr of Physics mate who is now on the flat earth bandwagon, and my friend swears that she doesn't do drugs or anything.. Nor is she apparently suffering from a mental disorder.. and, yet..

If you ask how the oceans don't drain away, you'll get an answer that there are huge walls at each pole, made of frozen water, that blocks the ocean like a huge dam!!! A friend of mine is an air steward, yet here is an adherent to the Chem trails theory!!

If flat earthers truly believed, someone would have bought a boat to check for themselves. U could be the next greatest discoverer, but nope, i guess they dont actually believe their own theory. If i believed this i definitely wouldnt mind risking my life and spending all my money to reach the edge of the earth, what a sight that would be! Dont u guys wanna go see???

Maybe the world is beginning to become a bit more interesting, and more full of wonder... and beauty... and love... and magic... and all the good stuff that fairytales are made of... like I do not care whether it is one way or the other; who really cares. What makes most sense to me is that the world is made of multiple layers (or one could say atoms or whatever) that places themselves according to how it makes most sense to me. Like I just read in a book that the indigenous people of South America supposedly did not see the wooden ships of the European visitors, that they only saw the sails floating over the sea, because that was all their minds were able to grasp. So who knows if we only see a round Earth because that is all we at this stage is capable of grasping, and those who see the other version simply are conceiving stuff differently, and so forth. Why can't there be room for a world that is both flat and round I wonder. Like I like how things are described in the Percy Jackson books, it really is a fun and wondrous way of entwining ancient Greek mythology and modernism haha
