Meditation of the Body

Exercise is the meditation of the body.

You may find that if you are taking a long walk or doing some kind of physical exercise that repressed feeling such as anger or sadness come to your attention and are expressed in the present. I think that this happens because as you are exercising all the repressed emotion that has taken residence in your cellular memory comes back to the surface to be expressed, this may be why when you are done exercising you feel that hit of joy or happiness when your endorphins are charged.

Yeah I agree, that's why I find gentle yoga so beneficial. I always feel that something has shifted from within me, and it can being emotions to the surface.
