Hi I really need help!
My partner said he dreams of this figure. It is in a black cloak with the hood up and it wears a mask which has a pointy chin and it has bug eyes. No mouth. Anyway in the dream it is down the other end of the corridor and it just stares at him. When he tries to get away and get through a door it's locked. The being puts his hand on my partners shoulder then he wakes up screaming. Every night! I told him to try talking to it. It won't talk. Last night he says the thing is in our room and just stares at the wall. It has been ever since the dreams started. I asked it to leave and it won't. Not sure what to do is my partner I'll or is this real? What is this being a shadow person? A spirit? I really don't know what to do but neither of us has had a decent sleep in months please any insight would be great.

PS: These are dreams you say. He doesn't actually see anything, yes?

I feel that this is an issue of his subconscious, so not a lot you could do in the physical, though maybe scatter some salt around the bedroom to purify the vibrations.

Firstly, A Warm Welcome to the Spiritual Forums!
From the thread, it seems a mental image that the subconscious mind tries to impose on the conscious mind as Knightofablion noted. It may be the side issue of ignoring or suppressing relevant cases where subconscious mind considers it as significant. Dig for the root cause so that it could be cured.

Thankyou for your welcome. He says he has seen it awake aswel. He has anxiety so maybe he is as you say having some emotional difficulties. I'm a Catholic and believe in spirits and angels. Maybe he may benefit from.some sort of councelling. Thankyou for the welcome and responses guys!!

Hello ond welcome :)
As said before in the replies, i too believe that this might be something in his subconscious. Perhaps something from his past that he has not yet accepted or told anyone, thats why the creature has no mouth, and the locked door may refer to him not wanting to remember that part or open the memory of it.
I am not sure of this being accurate, but it is only my opinion.

It almost sounds like the masks/outfits they used to wear during the Plague. They used to wear these masks to warn off the sickness of others.
I'd look it up the meaning in a dream dictionary, maybe try a dream catcher over the bed ;)
