I have a cat :-D
I have co-habited with this cat since he was born. I witnessed his birth, socialised him, showed him affection (when in the the beginning he first was aloof!) Have enjoyed a lot of his journey with him (albeit when he was out mouse hunting).
Such a placid, easy-going one. Never oozed anything but pureness of heart.
He is now 18 years of age.
Just a ginger ninja moggy, fed normal boring mainstream grub.

He recently (last year or so) has had a couple of health problems. Suspected polyps/infections...... His fur is starting to matt/fall out quicker than the speed of light.
Blood tests/kidney function blah blah are fine. One vet saying maybe it's his time to go, another saying heyyyy, he's fine to carry on.

Anyway, cut to the chase.
In the last few weeks he has been very vocal and initiating hugs as often as possible and me, ever the deep thinking one has been obliging him. Looking into his eyes as if he can tell me just by a glance, what he's asking.

Within these interactions - whether it be me, tired straight from work, him hungry, or late at night for no outward reason at all, EVERY time I lay my hands on him they grow super warm. Like if I weren't looking and be able to actually see, I'd think they were on fire!

Suppose I'm over the why's and wherefores to an extent. Accepted the action. Understand the possible phenomena - like not scared by it...perhaps just need it explained to me in more detail than what the puss is able to disclose.

Is it helping him do you think? Am I helping to prolong his life? Does he want that?
Why now? Why him? Why me?
Experienced it two or three times in the past with my dog but didn't think too much about it as it wasn't nearly as frequent as with the puddy and last time was years ago before recent goings on.

I haven't been anywhere near the zone of thinking spiritualistically recently....it just happens all by itself. I'm a rookie anyway. Aware but not actively trying to tap in. Too much to sort and too many lemmings of society that I cannot avoid (you have to apply yourself in the areas you don't want in order to progress in the areas you do want).

Will carry on with the current arrangement.....Cat boulders on into anything he hasn't been invited into just for a hand lain upon him even though - when I look into those old man yellow/green/cataract eyes he can give me no more info as to what & why. Guess hopefully I'll find out one day though be nice to be given a clue so I can help him more knowledgeably in the here & now x

It sounds like you and your ninja ginger moggie have a strong spirit-bond going on. They are Souls, not just animals cat-shaped or dog-shaped....as we do know intuitively when we really love them. They have a lot to tell us. They are soul friends, and probably of our own Soul Group.

Healing comes to mind with the warm hands....but this could be a two-way thing. Sometimes those Souls who come to companion us in animal shape can be more advanced Souls than many people think they are, and know us in spirit a heck of a lot more than we give them credit for. They are also tremendous allies.
We also have soul-agreements with them, from before we came into this life. They come to learn, and also to teach (which never seems like the right word for sharing of Spirit truth.)
Species hardly matters. What does matter is the bond, and the spiritual truth learned or discovered in both Souls from the interaction.
That does not die when the body dies either.

Losing fur and fur-mats.....probably just one of those things which happens with older age (getting old sucks sometimes) But you could check his thyroid levels and blood sugar? A complete blood panel also isn't a bad idea. I used to get my dog one every year even when she was fit and well and racing chasing frisbee.

Sometimes where there is spirit love, beautiful things happen which transcend all the body/Earth/normal stuff. Hard to find words for. The music of the Soul.

I innately feel in general that my soul is part of a bigger production going on.
My thinking processes sometimes drift off and wonder where my soul will go when my body dies....I imagine I'm gonna be kinda hauled up in front of a council of sorts and marked in regards to how far I've come in regards to my learning! Empathy 80%......Rationality 70%....Experience 65%....'well, she needs more in the xyz sector......back you go Miss to the mortal land as a ???'.....!
Have felt also that Mr Bigglesworth (not his real name!) knows far more than he is letting/can let on.

What is a 'soul group' ?
That would make sense and could half explain why we're drawn towards each other at this time. His easy-going, don't dwell on the small stuff attitude matches mine though I was of the self-taught belief that mine is a learned thing - I haven't always been this at ease with others' choices. He has always been this way (apart from when he was very young).
Hey, there's a thought....he's been put in this place at this time to teach and to maybe learn from me, not to ask for anything like outward shell curing?

So perhaps the warm hands thingy has nothing really to do with healing as such but more to do with connection? Like it <3

Am a bit of a lazy cat owner like that. Don't change his spark plugs or replace his air filter with a regular service, just act when something goes wrong :-/
Just ransacked the animal paperwork drawer as am sure he had the full lot checked recently (two months ago) in regards to bloodwork but can't find.
I know they were concentrating on his kidneys due to his age and weightloss and am sure they said something neutral about sugar and thyroid levels.
Will ring them to check next time I'm free to enquire in their work hours ;-)

Y'know. Not everything has to have an immediate answer or explanation eh?
Perhaps I should just roll with whatever is going on with me & the majestic ginger one and put it down on my future score chart as checked :-) x

There's probably more to a Soul Group than I am currently aware. I guess I will find out when I return home.
But having met one member already, my intuition was awakened to recall that a Soul Group is a Team to which your own Soul belongs. It is family in a very deep sense and has been for long duration.
Members of a Soul Group have individual differences and skills. They are not all the same, but harmonise to work together in Spirit, but also on Earth and other dimensions. There is a bond between those Souls which is indescribable in our terms, here.
They have manifested in many different shapes; have not all led human existences on Earth. Some have come to Earth but as different species. Then there are those who have gone to other systems for temporary work and training, and are of species we are not aware of here on Earth.
A Soul Group member is always recognisable, but not really so common to come across in life. You definitely know if you meet one. You might not have words for it, or rationalisation, but deep inside, you know. It absolutely hits you between the eyes.
Sometimes people are aware of Soul Group members gently keeping watch on them spiritually, although they may never meet them in life. This is always comforting 'hidden' support but can be poignant.
The way to keep in touch with Soul Group is to carry core values through everything which is done or thought through life. And always to rely and trust in those deep core values. They are the simplest graces which are available, and keep an attunement to true things in spirit.
Sometimes a Soul will come as an animal to companion the way, and help focus those core values even stronger and more consciously.

I always liked to keep my dog away from the vet as much as I could. We both agreed on that strategy! LOL! She hated the vet. He was a very nice man. That was a shame!
But I did do immunity titers each year (rather than mindless vaccination) and the blood panel, to give any early warnings of any weaknesses we could deal with.
Doing regular bloodwork is good because comparing a current one with one which was done -say last year -will show up any fluctuations or changes.

Your cat is NOT going to be perfect physically at his age. But that isn't always too much to worry about. Old age does show up in erratic readings sometimes. No organ of the body will be 100% perfect in old age most likely. Kidneys get weaker, etc. So long as there isn't any definite illness which needs treatment, and he is loving life, and has good quality of life and not suffering -then all is well. And beyond that all, is a strange grace which is already showing you that there is a heck of a lot more going on than just the body.

So to someone like me who hasn't been able to dedicate the time (much recently have been tied up in bureaucracy, red tape, tired but has to bow down to societies expectations, too little elsewhere) to this beautiful area as much as I would wish, Soul Group members are possibly anywhere.
What about ones you meet that don't make themselves known but you share some sort of bond with like the dog?
I get on with the dog. He loves me, I love him. Although have experienced the warm hands thing with him as said, it's not been a regular instance....are we connected through the Soul Group but perhaps as distant relatives?

Always wondered why my dog instantly retreats behind my legs upon a vet visit & the royal ginger one always meows loudly non-stop....they're not part of their group :-) :-P
Yup, you're right. Vet always relays details of last visit to me when we go which is good to reflect upon.

As I was trying to type this, the orange 90 year old was plonking his aged self in front of me & the keyboard (succeeded twice). Has now gone & taken itself into ones bed after I told him to take himself away - @feelbaddotcom.

I think, maybe I have gained a better insight as to what & why in this area. Though I have no immediate answers still, I have much more food for thought - really taken in & absorbed your reply.

I would absolutely love it and would probably have a pint of Guinness and a bag of cheese and onion. I may be dressed as a 'scary fairy' in my goth fairy costume, lots of lippy, with work boots.....

Only worry is Mr tangerine & Mr 10yo going on 4 ( read your doggy link....I can relate to the narrator as my dog has the energy of a teenager even though he's officially 70 in human years :-) ) trying to tell me something re: a subject that I feel I'm not educated on enough.
Perhaps I'm not meant to know already or instantly find out from other sources - maybe I'm supposed to discover it for myself...with them <3 x
