That was an AMAZING post Barthelomew!
My God that was brilliant! Sheer brilliance. I feel like the divine itself dropped that thought into your mind. That was sheer brilliance.!
And that is probably why there ARE so many religions. So many different stages of consciousness to understand THE TRUTH

We can't blame humanity for making things complex when they are really so simple and eloquent. We just don't know enough about how the universe works (yet). We will though. Spritiual growth is nothing more than a long series of realizations. When we are young religions help us by kick starting our minds. Later we continue on by ourselves. This is when the real progress is made. Along the way somewhere we suddenly understand about how we all are of differing spiritual ages and how, because of this, we have different needs.

It is sad for me to see Christians that somehow express alienation to the 'spiritual' because they see it as being separate and alien to their religious life and their literal and fundamental beliefs. God has prepared a wedding feast for us......to be satisfied with just bread and water must surely be an affront to God.

The farther down the road we go the more sublime truths become and... nicely stated. Deeper truths indeed do not invalidate superficial. I wish I'd thought of saying that.
