It's not as woo-woo as it may seem... the chakras are simply part of the human energy system. It's only when they become fully opened/flowered that we get the associated spiritual benefits.

I'd be interested to know what kind of diet/exercise program you had. Because there was obviously something you were doing (or not doing) that was tripping you up.
This exactly.
You'd be dead if you could have done that.
It is also impossible to shut your energy system down, as it would be suicide.
So whatever the reason of you feeling happier, it has nothing whatsoever to do with that.

It's good that you feel better. Your explanation however makes no sense. You already posted elsewhere you had an obsession with a particular higher chakra. That isn't what it should be about. It seems you couldn't handle the energies and didn't know what to do and now you blame it on someone else. Instead of taking ownership of your own choices you now rely on projection and conspiracies..

Perhaps it also shows that you rely on tropes that are easier to grab in the culture you grew up in, IMO, because I've seen this so many times before with Americans ((yes, I'm going to generalize here)). They experience spirituality, and as soon as it doesn't go their way, they resort to conspiracies and especially the religion they grew up in..

I did my spiritual awakening the other way around where I opened up my crown chakra to Divine light/ love and it descended and grounded through me and into my earth chakra.

I am so glad that I did it this way because honestly, god's/universal love is life and it is infinite and I needed a strong connection to that awareness in my body before I contemplated ascending kundalini back up towards the crown.
I honestly can't even imagine doing it the other way around until I got very grounded and present in my body and came to accept myself enough to accept and ground divine light into my human.

Even as I am working back up my chakras now - it is important to keep a self sustaining loop of energy circling through the body rather then a one way flow.

Source sort of becomes a large light filtration system that way

My ascending light gets 'filtered' and returned through my body grounding me...

I imagine that if the energy is not in a proper flow and balance between ascending and descending/ intake/output then energy might leech out and feed leeches.

You imagine correctly, in my past there was a day when I was picking leeches and energy vampires off of me like bugs. Of all kinds, 'spiritual' or no, men and women alike--and the out of control, imbalanced empaths were the worst for me, personally.

Hmmm, interesting thanks Ciona.

I'm contemplating starting another thread in interest of your comment.

I'll take my morning hike and decide

Yes very often if it is that, but it takes a good teacher/Guru/a lot of self luck and humility (bwahaha) to make it not the trip of the ego.

Glad to see all the narrow minded mental wall replies ...

Hopefully someone else will reply and actually get something out of it. I didn't post this for any of you who think I'm an idiot blaming other things for my "bad spiritual awakening" or that I would be "dead" as you proclaim a giant assumption that it's impossible to stop the flow of any of those things.

I'm looking for open minds and most of these replies are regurgitated defense responses from pop-spirituality.

And nowhere did I post obsession with a "higher chakra" -- I mentioned that I closed my third eye.

What I stated is 100% experience for me. I cannot define your experiences, and you cannot define mine.

I will agree to disagree with you, and I will agree that we have different experiences. But your statements of assuming your understanding of chakras (which you didn't discover on your own, but was handed to you on a silver platter from spiritual traditions) over-rides the direct experience of another person is foolish.

I have no interest in discussing this further with those who have made such replies. I suggest moving on from me and going to another thread with folks who share your views, just as I'm looking for different minds from yours you are looking for different minds than mine.

Anyone who's a little less narrow minded and a little more creatively driven as to what the deeper truth is behind the scenes of things here I am much more interested in.

Cheers

And for the nonsense reply that I'm an American looking for quick answers,

These energy flows have been OPEN for me for TEN YEARS.

I found physical proof of my own past life as a native American.

I gave psychic readings plenty of times.

I've seen and identified spiritual avatars of people that confirm their own character traits.

I've done absolutely tons of variations of work with meditations of many kinds putting in hours and hours of work moving energy through meridians, creating calmness, and connecting to the divine.

Your assessment of me (and the assumption that you're exempt from pop-culture ideations because you're not an American) is way, way off the mark. Not even close.

I'm extremely disappointed with the narrow minded lazy judgments coming out of these replies.

I think it's certainly possible to close chakras or at least slow their spin to such a degree, that they're almost imperceptible. I have always thought that chakras are gateways to other dimensions and realities, so perhaps it makes sense to lessen their activity in someone in whom they are overactive and causing all sorts of interdimensional trouble as a result.

But, I would be cautious in your place, you have been doing this for what, a few days? I think a few years would be a better indicator regarding the long-term effect of doing this.

Still, it is an interesting experiment on your part and I think you should keep reporting the results. My own feeling is that you have to fine-tune your chakras, increasing and decreasing the energy flow as required for optimum results. I do not know if it is possible to entirely shut down a chakra, but reducing its spin to nearly zero would probably shut you off from other realities, so it may be helpful in some cases.

Anyways, people are going to be sceptical, because this goes against conventional wisdom. However, you should just do your own things and observe the effects carefully.
