In Genesis 1:2 the scripture speaks of the 'spirit of God'. In Hebrew the expression for 'spirit' is written וְר֣וּחַ
. In the Septuagint, that Hebrew word is written in Greek as πνεύμα. This Greek word for spirit is the same Greek word used for spirit in Holy Spirit.
Is the Spirit of God the same spirit as in Holy Spirit?
The more we look into the scriptures, the more we may find to put to rest the argument "Is the Son and Father the same"?

Happiness is the result of an enlightened mind whereas suffering is caused by a distorted mind.

If humans emerged from a common ancestor then originally there would have only been one God concept, before tribes and cities, and writing

I suspect there is evidence to support or not support this theory. Further study of the scriptures might reveal the answer.

Of course it is John. The Holy spirit, is the Holy spiritual "essence" of the almighty Heavenly Father Christ entity IT'S SELF.
The Holy spirit, although it is a part of the Heavenly Father Christ entity, it is also said to be a conduit for the almighty Christ entities "love & tenderest" care that he has for us.
as the spiritual essence can flow into us, ONLY in the moment that we are desiring for it, gods love can be experienced.
However, most people are being discretely deceived by evil minded dark spiritual beings of whom (continuously surround us & turn our thoughts away from god) into believe that they are experiencing gods love whilst meditating or & attempting to be in the moment or to let go...etc etc ETC.
There is only one thing that can bring the Heavenly Father Christ entities, transforming very essence into self. And that is by having a knowledgeable understanding of it & a PURE desire for it to become a part of us.

Edit: as almost always, i haven't read other comments. And my comment is an explanation why are they the same. At least it paves the way for a better understanding.

The explanation to your question is simple, when you look at God as light or water.
Usually people see the body as Material, therefore not connected and therefore different.
But with God, if you understand water or light:
You take one droplet and you get Jesus. You put the water back into its source, and the small droplet becomes as big as the source. (This is not understandable in material terms, read my last statement in this post)
This means that the bigger water and this smaller water are the same, not different (different only in size which does not matter).
Moreover God can speak through Jesus.
And Jesus, even in this material World, being part of God, is God.
We are all water droplets, but some droplets choose to think differently, therefore they are drying out and are thinking that they became material. And by this they do.
And, as pure material, they do not have the power of God, but the power of nothing.
And of course, to think about God and Jesus as Thoughts is too early, for those who still think in material terms.
