Embrace the uncertainty and the not knowing - there's such wisdom to be found in that experience! At the end of the day, none of us can know someone is or isn't our TF, and that's the plain honest truth. We try so hard to hold on to something permanent, whether it is a person or a "clear direction," or a belief or thrilling feeling, but the reality we live in -- all the evidence smacking us in the face every day- is that nothing is permanent.

Re-read that statement. Nothing is permanent. It has two meanings.

If you want to embrace anything, embrace the nothing. The neutrality you are experiencing right now -- the space between knowing and not knowing, having and not having.

I don't know if I'm an "old" poster but I took a break from the forum. I lurked here and there. I figured what I was doing wasn't working for me, so I went off and tried some new directions. As for my situation with the one I refer to as TF, it's still there, not much has changed except maybe on the more subtle levels. At this present moment I am relaxing into the acceptance that this may be all there ever is and that's perfectly fine because it's still wonderful. Meanwhile, the syncs and signs have been stronger than ever before, I admit they still make me go "wow" but who knows if they ultimately mean anything. I will allow life to surprise me. Or not.

Good to hear from you SerpentQueen! I have been one of your earlier fans since my roller coaster started! I definitely miss the debates we would all get into Hahaha

The OP's description sounds more like lust/infatuation than a TF connection to me. Before I even stumbled upon all this TF lore I have memories seared into my brain and heart about the beginnings of feeling the connection. I remmeber thinking "what the hell is going on here?" I felt an undeniable pull towards this person, and I was attracted on every plane (spiritual, emotional, intellectual, sexual), but all of the typical signs of a new love connection...the beating heart, the sweaty palms, the butterflies, the super high drug like feeling were not present. The easiest way to describe it was it was just...peace. The animal attraction was about 5% of it. The greatest part is realizing this person simply by being "them", soothes your soul. And the this soul soothing is more powerful and better feeling than any drug cocktail your brain can ever create. I remember walking with my TF and trying to describe it like..."it's amazing, I feel so relaxed and at peace with the world when I'm with you...I could walk and talk with you for hours and be perfectly content, but at the same time I want to rip off all your clothes." The pull to my TF wasn't about sex. I felt an urge to hold, caress, comfort, and LOVE her. The sexual part was just a byproduct. It's a startling revelation to realize that passionate animal attraction can exist within a quiet, peaceful, soothing, field of energy. A far cry from the usual, so hot, explosive, gotta have it, gotta get it now, omg omg omg I'm so higgggggh on her feeling that comes with the USUAL start of a new relationship.
