username & Password not recognised

I have just had to create another account as I was unable to log in. For a couple of days I was unable to access the site for some reason, then when I finally was able to access the site I found I was unable to log in. I requested a new password, but it said it did not recognise my email, but when I checked my mail I found that I had a message notification from someone on spiritual forums which I obviously can't access now. I don't know what has happened, whether someone has stolen my password or something but I am really annoyed that I am unable to reply to the P.M that is awaiting me under my original ID "Datta" I would appreciate any help on just how I can access this P.M please.

Hi Datta,

The site crashed - almost all of us have had to re-register - everyone's posts, pm's etc were lost back to May of 2007. I'm sorry to have to tell you this - but now we have the chance to start things over :)

Hope things make sense now.

Yes this happened to me too. It's a shame but at least there are lots of us in the same situation.

They would make sense Kaere if someone had not changed my name back to Datta without asking me first. I have just wasted a lot of time trying to log in with my new user name only to find that someone had changed it back without my consent. I thought someone had hacked my account when I saw someone had changed my name back to Datta, I did not request this, so why was it done? BTW I tried logging in with the name Datta, but I was unable to log in so I had to request a new password again to be able to log in. Please do not change my username, or password again whoever was responsible, personally I don't think you should be able to do this, I mean what else can you do? check my personal messages maybe. It's not a good start really is it. Sorry if I appear to come across as a bit aggressive, but this has really wound me up.

Honestly I have no idea why your username was changed - I'll find out and get back to you as soon as I can.

I'm sorry. Even though you didn't make a direct request I changed your username based on what you had written in your first post. I thought for sure I had sent you an email to tell you about the change but perhaps not.

Right after the forum came back up I was helping a lot of people like this with name changes. This was the only one that I did without a direct request. Sorry to cause confusion. I can understand why this might have been upsetting and again I apologize.
