We are all capable of something spiritual.

If we can think of spiritual development as an onion there is the core and then all the layers around it.
Each layer has its own unique spiritual gravity. The more you peel off the stronger you become until you reach the very core and become infinite.

If you want to chat further of want help travelling through the layers please feel free to message me :-)

You could say we're all capable of something-or-other, whatever that something may be. If we learn and practise anything sufficiently hard and long we may become markedly better than when we began but in practical terms it doesn't automatically mean we'll ever be as capable as those who have more of a bent for it. Theory is one thing, practicality is another.

The outer layers of an onion - to use your analogy - are comparatively easy to remove but subsequent layers are increasingly tighter and harder to get to.

If you want to chat further or want help travelling through the layers please feel free to message me.
